Divita Rai from Karnataka, who was crowned LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2022, is all set to represent India at the prestigious Miss Universe pageant in New Orleans, USA, on January 14. She is an architect and model by profession and pursued modelling along with doing her graduation from Sir J J College of Architecture in Mumbai. She also takes deep interest in badminton, basketball, painting, music as well as reading.

Divita will be competing against contestants from over 80 countries. She says, “To represent your country on an international platform has been a dream. Harnaaz told me to figure out what makes me stand out and to hold on to that. There are so many countries competing here and we have this opportunity to showcase our culture. India has already proven its mettle. I am going with a positive mindset and will give my best.”

Divita’s evening gown has Indian embroidered 3D motifs and elements of crystals, stones and sequins, accentuated further with a soft cape crafted by internationally acclaimed designer duo Falguni Shane Peacock and jewellery by celebrity jewelry designer Kavya Potluri. Divita is both excited and nervous because all eyes will be on her after Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu’s win last year.
